Birdbird likes Alpacaman. He climbed up there himself and started preening it.
Someone’s a happy camper. He got his cage cleaned really good and it’s the weekend so he has his two humans at once.
Brucemeister in HD!! Haha sorry for all the instability on it, I was figuring out how the camera works with videos.
It’s so funny how he’ll beg us to let him go hang out in the fridge.
So uhmm…. is it normal for your bird to just get horny out of nowhere on your shoulder??? This has never happened up until like the past couple weeks. He (which is actually a she) is two years old just about.
Haha every time I’m just like OK IF YOU RUB YOUR BUTT ON MY FACE I WILL END YOU.Sorry, I tried to answer, accidentally hit enter and RUINED EVERYTHING. So I’ll reblog instead.
My Jeffrey (who is also actually a she) used to do this all the time too. It means she views you as her mate. Make sure you don’t touch her back or vent area or you will encourage it, and that may lead to chronic laying.
You can discourage it by rearranging her cage and making sure she gets 12-14 hours of darkness every day. Cut back or eliminate any treats like seeds, chips, cereal, pasta, etc— high fat/processed sugar content makes them go into breeding mode.
Haha yeah I do try my best to keep from dealing with his back as I know that triggers hormones. I’ll go ahead and rearrange his cage (needs it anyway). I’ll have to see about keeping him away from our food for a little while. He used to just rub his butt against the cage, but he has randomly taken to just out of nowhere getting active on our shoulders.
Thanks for the response. ♥
